2002 highlights

• Commonwealth Games theme
• Held on one day
• 64 teams competed
• 800 spectators
• 25 volunteers
• 10 referees
• First year for girls only section
• First year official souvenir programme developed
• The RAF were the festival's main sponsors
• No overall winners, only Fair Play Awards
• First year entertainment was provided for all the family, with face painters and speed and target games
• Each participant received a medal
• First year each participant received a goodie bag
• First year Radio Lollipop attended
